Enlightenment. The word itself is so evocative. Most of us dream of reaching a state of enlightenment where our worries and troubles are finally vanquished – an ultimate state marked by the absence of desire or suffering.  Many Eastern disciplines talk of enlightenment and how hard and almost mythically rare it is to achieve: In Chinese culture, it is said: “The number of people who seek and cultivate Dao is as many as the hairs on a cow but the number who find Dao is as small as the feather of a phoenix.”

In Ren Xue, enlightenment is neither a final state nor is it impossible to achieve. It is an important milestone on the path to realization and wisdom – a path that is itself without end.  That path is pursued by the practice of the 9th method of Yuan Qigong, Ming Yuan, and it is accessible to all.
