Ling Yuan

Our ability to experience and manifest unconditional trust is blocked by our patterns, both on the consciousness and heart levels. Although many of the patterns identified in Ren Xue can come into play, Greed, Seeking Maximal Certainty and Need to Control are particularly related to an inability to trust. Can you see why?

Greed, Seeking Maximal Certainty and Need to Control all share, at their base, a desire for safety. Having things, money and power protects us. We can impose our will (that of the false self) on events and people, and we even try to impose it on the future! We do not trust what is nor what will be. We try to control it.

These patterns and others are described in more detail in the Ling Yuan, Changing Patterns, method 8 of Yuan Qigong.

There are several approaches to breaking free of unhealthy patterns and cultivating unconditional trust.

You already know one of the approaches: working the methods of Yuan Qigong Tong Yuan, Ling Yuan, and Ming Yuan. These methods were developed to help you move step-by-step away from the imprisonment of a closed heart and unexamined thoughts.

Another approach is to work directly on what we identify with. Do that here, together with Yuan Tze and Melissa. And repeat it often!
