There are all sorts of love! Do you remember falling in love for the first time (or the second or third!)? What a feeling. So strong, so overwhelming. Perhaps one of those loves grew and deepened, becoming an abiding love that defined a large part of your life. Do you have children? That’s another kind of love – also life-defining. Over the years you’ve probably loved friends and nieces and nephews and cats and dogs and maybe even houses or gardens, each in a different way. And yet in Ren Xue, we speak of all of those loves as “small loves”. How can the most important emotions in our lives possibly be considered “small loves”?
They are small in comparison to a greater love - the one great love.
