Listening to Yuan Tze is a process of heart-to-heart communication. It’s extraordinary because it goes far deeper than verbal communication. His talks carry a great deal of information filled with a huge amount of wisdom, love and compassion. Through heart-to-heart transmission, Yuan Tze will guide us through a purification process of the heart, consciousness, and Shen (the True Self).
Yuan Qigong practice for everyone
This retreat is offered to people with ALL levels of experience with Yuan Qigong and Ren Xue - from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. It's is easy to learn, safe and very effective. We recommend practicing according to your own physical condition and know that modifications are always available.
Experienced teachers for guidance & support
A team of qualified Yuan Qigong and Ren Xue teachers will be present to offer help and support throughout the retreat. They are people devoted to helping others to transform their lives for the better.
The last retreat was filled with love, magic, Qi and wisdom. This has helped me grow as a human and to feel calmer, more centered and with more strength to make healthier decisions. This is a system that helps you to truly understand life so that you can live it from your heart.

Registration for the online retreat experience will open in January, 2026
We always strive to make our retreats as equitable and accessible as possible. To accommodate the difference in currency rates between Latin American countries in relation to other locations throughout the globe, we offer a discounted rate for those native to Latin America and living there. The price is per person and includes all retreat activities, accommodation and food. All prices are listed in Mexican Pesos.

ROOM UPGRADES: Everyone registers for a shared room first. AFTER your registration is confirmed, limited single room upgrades and double rooms upgrades for couples may available for an additional fee. Priority for the single rooms will be given to those with physical limitations. To upgrade your room accommodations after your registration has been confirmed, please reach out to our Event Coordinator Lula Dolz, lula@renxueamericas.org.
DISCOUNTED RATES: This year we will have an option for participants to partake in the retreat from an overflow room at a discounted rate. From the overflow room, you'll be able to watch Yuan Tze's talks and teacher-led sessions live on a big screen. We feel this is a great option for those who may need more space to lie down and/or practice during these sessions. This option is only available for those who are comfortable listening to sessions in English, as the Spanish translation will not reach this hall. Please note that there will be sessions and activities where everyone will be mixed together, you won't be expected to be in the overflow room all the time. Financial Assistance
Who is eligible?
People living in North, Central or South America who could not attend the event without financial assistance.
Guidelines for applying
Financial Assistance is made possible by the generous contributions of donors in our Ren Xue community to the Waves of Change Financial Assistance Fund. It is intended to help those truly unable to attend the event without financial support. We are asking you to refrain from applying if you have the necessary funds in the form of savings or if you can find other means of assistance through family or friends.
What the funds are for
Each Financial Assistance recipient will receive an equal amount and it will be applied towards your registration fees for the retreat. Once financial assistance is awarded, you’ll need to follow the payment schedule listed below. All prices are in Mexican Pesos:

Online Retreat Option
You can participate in this retreat online from any where in the world. In partnership with our sister organization REN XUE International, registration for the online retreat will open in early 2026. Please note the online retreat will only be available in English.

The Venue and How to Get There
This retreat in Mexico will take place at Casa Tonalli, a beautiful retreat center surrounded by hills and nature. This space feels very serene making it an ideal place to relax, recharge and be inspired.
Casa Tonalli is 1.5 hours drive (63km) from the city of Toluca and 2.5 hours drive (113km) from Mexico City.

Transportation:
Public Transport from Mexico City
From Observatorio bus station, you take the Flecha Roja company buses to Tenancingo de Degollado (approximately 2 hours.) From here, you take a taxi to the retreat center (15 minutes.)
Public Transport from Toluca Airport
This is the closest airport to the venue. From here you take a bus to Tenancingo de Degollado (approximately 50 minutes) and take a taxi to the center (15 minutes.)
Organized Transport from Mexico City Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez)
We’ll offer a private minibus to and from the airport straight to the retreat center for an additional cost. The bus will leave the airport at 2pm on February 27th and leave the center at 1pm on March 8th. It takes 2.5 hours to/from the airport without traffic.
If you’re interested in the minibus, you can ask to receive more information about this when you register.
For anyone arriving the night before, there are various hotels near the airport. If you're arriving the day before, you can take an Uber from the airport into the city, however if you're going into the city late at night, we recommended taking an airport taxi.
What to Bring
As we’re in a mountainous area, temperatures vary greatly between day and night so please pack accordingly. In February and March, the average temperature varies between highs of approximately 28°C / 82°F and lows of 9°C / 48°F.
- Bath towels will be provided.
- The center offers regular chairs, meditation seats and cushions, but you're welcome to bring what you need to feel comfortable.
We recommend bringing:
- A blanket for sitting meditations, for cooler morning / evening sessions
- Comfortable clothing
- Socks / slippers for the halls (no shoes are worn inside)
- A sunhat / something to provide shade as you move around the site during the day, if you’re sensitive to the sun (there isn't much shade on the pathways around the venue)
- A handheld / mini fan if you tend to get hot (though nothing that makes noise to avoid disturbance)
- A water bottle, thermos for hot water
- Something to take notes on
- earplugs (for sharing a room comfortably, if needed)
Food
The retreat includes 3 meals per day and a tea break mid-afternoon. Traditional Mexican food will be offered. On registering, you can let us know if you have any food allergies / restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, etc.)
You’re also welcome to bring snacks or any foods you’d like to supplement the meals with if you feel you’ll need them during your stay.

Looking after your Mental Health
You may notice that many of the suggestions for preparing for a Ren Xue event encourage you to be in a "relaxed, calm and natural" state. Feeling this way is necessary for you to be able to integrate new insights and grow, and also for your safety.
If your mental state is unstable or highly changeable and it is not within your ability to return to a calm state, we would advise that this is not the time to attend a Ren Xue event. The kind of mental states which are referred to here include but are not limited to the following;
- severe depression
- strong fluctuations of mood
- mania
- disturbing or racing thoughts
- feelings of unreality
- extreme sleep disturbance
- paranoia
- feeling unsafe due to thoughts of self-harm or others feeling unsafe around you
- addiction
- extreme and uncontrolled anxiety
- or other significant mental health issues or disorders.
If, however you are comfortable that your mental health is relatively stable and that you can bring some clarity to any internal mental or emotional challenges that may come up as you reflect and work on your life, you are very welcome to participate, and may experience much benefit.
If you had a severe condition in the past or are currently experiencing a mild to moderate mental health disorder, we encourage you to get support and connect with our trained staff to discuss your situation privately. If you have decided that you would like to take part, please know that if you feel challenged or overwhelmed or have questions over the course of the event, you will have the support of experienced teachers as well as a loving community and Qifield. Most of us experience challenges as we learn and practice Ren Xue, so please know that we're all here to support each other.
Covid Policy
The health and safety of everyone at the retreat, and those who have compromised immune systems, we ask that you please follow our COVID policy for the retreat.
ON RETREAT
- Classes and talks will be held both indoors and outdoors.
- Masking is optional
We would ask you stay home if you become unwell and/or develop symptoms of a cold or flu, regardless of COVID testing results.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you have to cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible. Once a portion of the payment has been made, a percentage will be applied as an administration fee, depending on the date of cancellation.
If you cancel before January 20th, 2026, you will receive your full payment minus a percentage of the administrative fee.
If you cancel after January 20th, 2026, you will receive the full payment minus a cancellation fee of $800 Pesos and a percentage for administrative expenses.
Please note:
- If you leave the retreat before the end for any reason other than a medical emergency, Covid or death of a family member, you will not receive a refund of the payment made.
- If you leave the retreat due to an emergency (medical, Covid or death in the family) you will receive a refund of the retreat payment minus a $1000 Pesos cancellation fee and a percentage of administrative costs.
REN XUE of the Americas reserves the right at any time to require that a participant leave the retreat if it is determined that the participant’s behavior is either excessively disruptive or dangerous to self or others. In this case, all retreat fees are non-refundable.
Cancellation by REN XUE of the Americas
In the event of circumstances forcing RXA to cancel the event, RXA will notify all participants as soon as possible and refund their full payments, including deposits.
