Accommodations are offered in a variety of spacious rooms, at different price levels. Prices indicated below are all-inclusive of on-site activities, covering the costs of accommodation, food and all instruction from Yuan Tze and Certified REN XUE teachers throughout the retreat. Participate in this retreat from anywhere in the world. For those unable to attend in person, we offer the option to stream the retreat. The sessions can be watched live with lifetime access to the recordings.

Registration for live-streaming will open in early 2024.

All meals will be provided, including afternoon tea. Simple, nourishing food will be served buffet style. The food will be mostly vegetarian with meat or fish options available daily. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options will be available.

Please indicate on your registration form any dietary restrictions you may have to ensure that your needs will be met. Community refrigerators are available for participants who require one for supplements or special food items

In addition to the mental preparation mentioned above, there are things you can do to help you get ready. The more earnestly you engage, the more you will achieve at the retreat. In addition, you can start to experience the benefits even during this preparatory stage. Here are some of them:

1. Read Wellbeing Begins with You: to get more out of your learning at the retreat, we recommend reading this book.  Learn more about the book or make a purchase from our website (e-book and paper versions available). You may even start to experience change in your life and your consciousness as you immerse yourself in the reading. This foundation is very important for your continual growth beyond the retreat. People have reported gaining a lot of insight and benefit from reading Yuan Tze’s books.
2. Learn & Practice Yuan Gong: Yuan Gong methods will be taught at the retreat. However, learning and practicing in advance will mean you can reap the benefits of the retreat practice immediately. This will help you build up a Qi foundation for the healing and work on life we do at the retreat. You can learn Yuan Qigong from anywhere in the world through our online Qigong courses.
3. Practice Ren Xue: if you have been learning and using Ren Xue to work on your life, keep up your effort, especially in working on the patterns of the consciousness. This will help you make breakthroughs at the retreat in dealing with your problems.

We look forward to spending 9 days with you in our powerful Qifield and working together on our health, happiness, well-being and self-realization, and towards the goal of ‘uplifting ourselves and helping others’ (Zi Du, Du Ren).

With a Central California location just 30 minutes east of Fresno in the Sierra Nevada foothills, Wonder Valley Ranch Resort and Conference Center is about four hours away from both Los Angeles and San Francisco. 

Wonder Valley Shuttle
If you arrive in Fresno by plane into the Fresno-Yosemite Airport, the Amtrak train station or by Greyhound bus into the Greyhound Station, you can arrange for the Wonder Valley Shuttle to pick you up.

The Wonder Valley Ranch shuttles run from 7am-7pm. The cost for the shuttle service is $85 round trip or $55 one way. In order to ensure availability, all reservations must be made one week from your arrival or departure date.

If you arrive outside of the shuttle hours, you can also contact an Uber to bring you to the resort.

Drive EAST on Kings Canyon Rd. past the Academy Avenue intersection (controlled by a stop-light). People living in North or South America who could not attend the retreat without financial assistance.

Guidelines for applying
The Financial Assistance Fund is a very limited fund donated by generous individual Ren Xue practitioners. It is intended to help those truly unable to attend the retreat without financial support. We are asking you to refrain from applying if you have the necessary funds in the form of savings or if you can find other means of assistance through family or friends.

It is not possible for us to make a true assessment of your needs because financial situations are complex. This is why we are asking you to make that assessment yourself. Please take time to reflect on your situation, as your decision will affect others.

If you receive financial assistance, you will be asked to register for the Large Group Dorm with Shared Bath, or the Personal Tents or Private Camper/ Vehicle.

What the funds are for
Each Financial Assistance recipient will receive an equal amount. Financial Assistance is not a cash award. It will be applied towards the recipient’s registration fees. Recipients are expected to follow the schedule for registration and payments as outlined in the application procedure.

Keep track of the schedule posted below. Once you hear back from the Financial Assistance Committee, you’ll need to follow the schedule. All payments need to be received by the dates posted below.

If you need to cancel your retreat registration, please do so early. Late cancellations may make it difficult to give someone else the opportunity to attend. Once you have paid any portion of the retreat fee, administrative and possibly cancellation fees will apply, depending on the cancellation date.

If you cancel your reservation before March 15, 2024 at midnight we will refund all fees paid minus any applicable administrative charges ($60).

If you cancel your reservation on March 16, 2024 or later, we will refund all fees paid minus $150 cancellation fee and applicable administrative charges ($60).

Refunds will be be made within 30 days of receiving cancellation notice.

Please note that:

• Anyone leaving the retreat early for anything other than a qualified emergency (medical emergency or a death in the family) will not receive any refund.
• If someone leaves early due to a qualified emergency (medical emergency or a death in the family), we will refund the days that are not attended proportionately minus the $150 cancellation fee and the applicable administrative charges ($60).

REN XUE of the Americas reserves the right at any time to require that a participant leave the retreat if it is determined that the participant’s behavior is either excessively disruptive or dangerous to self or others. In this case, all retreat fees are non-refundable.

In the highly unlikely event that REN XUE of the Americas must cancel the retreat for unforeseen reasons, we will notify you as soon as possible and will refund the full fee amount paid including your deposit.
